A CONMAN claiming to be from the water board stole nearly pounds 400 from two elderly women living in sheltered housing.
cheap abercrombieThe thief struck at a complex in Willett Gardens, Wellesbourne, near Warwick, on Friday, at about 7pm.
A Warwickshire Police spokeswoman said: "A 91-year-old woman opened her door to the man who barged past her and asked for her pension book number.
"While she was writing this down, he searched the bedroom and took pounds 200 cash.
"He then took a further pounds 100 from her front room."
Tiffany Earrings The man is also believed to have searched her handbag.
Minutes later, he called at the home of a 86-year-old woman, telling her to clear out under her sink cupboard so he could turn the water off.
While she was doing this, he went into her bedroom, stole pounds 90 cash and broke into a suitcase.
Police describe the thief as white but with a dark complexion,
embroidered patches about 5ft 6in, with short, dark hair.
